The Executive Women in
Government (EWG) is launching our new lunch series with a special
event at the Department of Interior featuring Deputy Secretary Lynn
Scarlett.
Join
us to hear Ms. Scarlett perspectives on her position at Interior
and the role of women at the executive level in the federal government.
Ms. Scarlett currently coordinates Interior's environmental policy
initiatives to implement the President's executive order on cooperative
conservation. She was confirmed as Deputy Secretary on November
2005 after 4 years as the Department's Assistant Secretary for Policy,
Management and Budget. Before joining the Bush Administration in
July 2001, she was President of the Los Angeles-based Reason Foundation,
a nonprofit current affairs research and communications organization.
