The event marks
the new board and new year for The Executive Women in Government.
In addition to highlighting the important role of women in the federal
government, attendees will have an opportunity to learn about another
extraordinary woman, Mary McLeod Bethune, who worked tirelessly
for racial and gender equality. This house, in which she lived for
several years, features original furniture from the National Council
of Negro Women, photographs and facsimiles of historic documents.
